I had a total thyroidectomy last year for thyroid cancer. Although it was caught early, they found 2 tumors in there. I am 15 months post op, and I know I am now prone to developing other cancers statistically.
The past week, I have had a major pain in my shoulder, which I assumed was an old car accident injury flare up. I've been seeing my chiropractor for this and he mentioned today, since I am not getting better, that I may have a problem with my lung.
I guess my question is-- to other cancer survivors or those in the medical field, how often have you heard of this happening?
I am a little freaked out...

Thyroid cancer spreading is very unlikely. Caught early thyroid cancer is usually 100% cured. You are going through a very common syndrome......basically you think everything is cancer. I would get it check out, but my vote is your probably ok.

You should see a doctor, not your chiropractor.

If you are concerned about your shoulder or your lung and if you have had a cancer before, you may require an x-ray
