While terrorists are known to use mosques for hiding weapons, I do not believe that all mosques need radiation surveillance devices. If there is reason to believe that a terror cell is hiding material in a specific mosque then sure, that would be a good reason.

Waste of time. If the sensors where strong enough to pickup that someone had been around radiation it would give way too many false positives. X-rays etc...
