Yes you can. If you upgrade to the current version (8 something) you will find a link in the messenger itself showing: well look here

near the top. I was able to add my MSN and hotmail friends and IM them. I had to install something else though. Nonetheless it is very straightforward though.

I would assume so.

The new MSN Live Messenger can chat with Yahoo.

There was a rumor and story a few months back that Yahoo Msgr and MSN Msgr were merging to form the largest messenger group...

Probably to do away with AIM and ICQ and the likes.

Yep! It's true. Yahoo! Messenger and MSN Messenger users can chat with each other.

If you are using Yahoo! Messenger, make sure you are using version 8.0 and go here:

yes it can
just download the messenger from
http://messenger.yahoo.com
and install it
then add ur msn friend like u add a normal yahoo friend
and that's all
note: i found a problem in it, u don't appear online to the friends in the msn messenger

They said so but I never tested successfully. Also Live Messenger is too slow so I reverted to MSN Messenger.

Its true click on the one guys link. You need Verizon 8.0 though.
But I really hope they make friends with Google because
half my family has google and yahoo Id's. They
should quit the rivalry.

yes.. i believe ur msn will have ur yahoo contacts in it.. aleast thats what happened on mine
