You know, like if I was to approach some really good looking girl like my friend allissa, would she get insulted I hit on her. Would she think that I think we are on the same level aesthetically?

no way babe, i feel really flattered if anyone hits on me it just shows that you are attractive even if you dont think so! you shouldnt think that your an ugly person and that allissa is too pretty for you.. if she feels insulted that you hit on her then forget her- she doesnt deserve someone like you. but then you never know unless you try so i suggest you give it a try. oh and dont you know : "never judge a book by its cover"
besides, u look pretty sexy to me... ; )

I don't see how you can be insulted this way. By hitting on you, they are complimenting you.
Whether you choose to go on a date with them or let them down nicely is completely up to you.
I'm flattered when I get hit on. I don't always find the other person attractive. Sometimes I find them repulsive, but they haven't insulted me in the least bit.

I have been hit on by ugly guys, handicapped guys, dumb guys. I was never offended by any of them unless they went about it in an offensive way. Simply telling a girl that you find her attractive and enjoy spending time together is flattering from anyone. Telling her that you'd like to throw her on the pool table and do every orifice is nasty no matter how good looking the guy is. I suggest you go for it, if you are a nice guy and she is a nice girl, the worst is she'll say no thanks.

I'm not so much insulted as disgusted. If they persist after I ignore and or insult them I usually take my mirror hold it up to his face and say, "Do you really think you should be hitting on me, have you seen me?
PS: In psychology it's called the "Matching Hypothesis"- People are attracted to those who match their level of physical attractiveness

No she wont get insulted, she will probably be flattered, if you hit on her and be nice sweet and yourself you should get her! If not then it is because she is scared. Good luck!
