Will burning calories also help lower your 'fat' or drop a few
pounds?
If so..what would be the best 'workout' or way to lose 200 to 1600
calories in a 1 hour period of time??

Think of calories like money. If you have too much money, you either spend it (exercise) or put it in a bank (make fat). If you have no money by not making enough (low calorie diet) or you spent too much (exercise), then you take money out of the bank (burn fat).

I would say an hour of intense boxing would burn the most calories, followed by xcountry skiing, and then running. Cycling and swimming after that. However, it all depends on intensity. You'll burn more calories with a high intensity swim than low intensity run.

Burning calories will help your body lose weight. That could be water weight, burn off food you just ate or lose actual fat.
