There are actually products that will help neutralize the acid in your dogs urine. You can get it at places like Meijer in their pet area. It's an all natural tablet and I've never tried it, but it claims to make all the difference. I think it's called 'Lawn Saver'.

Yes, I give my dog Grass Saver pills, which I get at the local pet store in the aisle with the dog shampoos, ear cleaner, toothbrushes, etc. Petco has them, but the prices there are usually pretty steep. I have a place called "Pet Club" near me that has a better deal. And be careful to follow the instructions for dosage.
We still get the occasional dead spots on the lawn, but it helps. Also try to hose the spot down with a good amount of water immediately after he pees.

There is a product called green grass dog chews and another called g-wiz. These are both supplements that your dog eats that is supposed to help with dog urine yellowing your grass. I've never personally used these products.

1 tablespoon of tomato sauce a day in his food will do it! Works on my dogs and the grass is nice a green! A vet told me this many years ago and I have never had this problem since. You can use ketchup or Tomato Juice too!

Yes there is. You can either get it in powder form or pills at like petsmart, by the way is it pet-smart or is it pets-mart?? anyhoo, you have to give it to your dog in their water. It's a little pricey and you have to keep giving it to them so if you have the cash you're set if not get the hose and follow fido around.

I would try looking on the site of Dr. Fosters and Smith. They have a catalog available with some articles about dog health issues.

I haven't heard of one. Maybe it would help to water the grass in that area after he urinates there. The water should help to dilute any toxins.

No, but there is something you can put on your grass. Talk to someone that works in a petstore or call your vet and ask them.
