I love my girlfriend to death.. but she says to me that I do not make her happy enough.. I feel sad when she says that because I'm trying all I can to to keep her happy... what are somethings we can do with each other that will get us closer together? What are some sweet things I can give her to show that I care for her? I need some ideas to make our relationship become better and happier. I need more than just going out... what else?

I agree with greeneyed response too. That can also be true.
You will have to ask her what makes her happy. It is very hard to tell you what makes your girlfriend happy because we don't know her nor have her feelings. You stated "what are somethings I can give her to show her that I care". Well, try not to buy love. It o.k. to give her things that she like but don't make it a habit of buying her things all of the time (money can't buy TRUE love). Talk to her and find out what makes her happy. Remember communication is the key! Good Luck and continue to be the good man that you are.
As a woman, I consider these things to be romantic. All women are different but if you haven't tried these, consider them.
1. Fix her dinner or fix a meal together.
2. Watch a movie at home with popcorn or favorite snack
3. Take walks together

A person can add to happiness or subtract from it, but happiness comes from inside of us.
She needs to find a counselor to help her find out why she isn't happy. Then again she just may be one of those kinds of people that are always miserable. YOU can't make this person happy! If you make it your life's goal, your work will be in vain; you will be miserable.....along with her.
Ps. You may need to take a good hard look at this. Find someone who truly appreciates you & your affection. And doesn't expect you to perform for them, like a circus dog.

Little things, like a picnic, driving to the lake, going to the Mall, 2-3 carnations, stuff that doesnt cost much should mean a lot, they do to me. I wish you lived near me and my boyfriend were like you, hes obviously mad and hasnt called me in 4 weeks...bottom line....any simple spur of the moment things should be enough, not things that cost money

If you want to make her like you more here is what you gotta do...this is going to sound strange but it will work...stop calling her as much and start being a little less available...when she thinks she is losing you, she will appreciate you more and realize that she doesn't want to lose you and that she is actually happy with you.

She needs to figure out what makes her happy. It isn't really your job to "make" her happy. My bf makes me laugh, we have a lot of fun together but I made my own life "happy".

A good way to make her happy is to just talk to her. Yeahh it might seem like that it wont really help but its good to just talk to her and get to know her even more. Some girls like to get gifts to feel special and to be happy. And for you to take her places. But there are some like me for example that just like it when my boyfriend would be there for me. To just talk and to just hang out for awhile like just being together makes me feel good. So be close to her be there for her when she needs you. Talk to her about her past for what she wants to do in her future. It does help just to talk to her once in awhile.

Be romantic and spontanious. Girls love surprises. Surprise her with some roses or surprise her with some chocolate dipped strawberries that you made yourself. She would love it. If its truley from your heart then she will see just how much you really do love her and that your willing to do whatever it takes to prove it.
