Isn't it obvious that God is real, if there are various religions that believe in Him: Judaism, Christianity, Islam. The three of them belong to different cultures, speak different languages, live in different countries and believe in the same God.

i think there was just one book ....... people believed it and took it around the world and translated it. thats the story. just how they did the diary of anne frank. they just translated it. like when the settlers came over here they bought all that stuff and their beliefs. well they came from europe or somewheres to where they could travel on land by foot from the source of the bible (where the bible was made). but as the story was passed down people put new names into it and altered it somewhat. just like if you heard a story somewhere and you go somewhere else and hear a VERY similar story that sounds almost exactly alike but they're not because there was a little something else added to it because the person who was telling it forgot the original version and made up something a little extra to fill in the piece. do you get where i'm going? thats what i think. i dont think they all just made up their own religions from scratch. it spread from a source.

Well every single person in the world used to think it was flat. So is world flat..no

Every single person used to think that earth was center of universe..does that make it so....No

So just because everyone believes there is a God does not make it so..also which God...and lots of people believed in many Gods so why only one now?

Also Christianity was a breakaway sect of Judaism and then Islam broke and went its own way from both...can't really say with any truth "see 3 totally different sects came up with same God" Christianity+Islam came from Judaism which came from other religions...they did not just spontaneously came up with same God.

Might as well say since children speak the same language as parent then that language must be the truth and only language

It's equally obvious that Santa Claus exists because so many believe in Him. In some cultures he's called Santa, in some Father Christmas. But it's the same guy from the North Pole they all believe in.

Also consider these similarities: He rewards you for being "good", "knows if you've been good or bad", performs a miracle every year by being thousands of places at once, when you're little all grown ups tell you he's real, etc. etc.

Okay. So much for God. All of the above is also true for Santa.
Maybe Santa created God so that we could feel his love all year round. And scrambled Santa's name to make Satan so we would be driven toward rewards and away from punishments right into the arms of righteous belief.

In Santa's name we prey - on the innocent to make them do what we want them to.

Like McDonald's, Burger King, Jack in the Box, Wendy's and Carl's Jr., Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are different franchises of a profitable business. In the case of the former, the business is selling burgers. In the case of the later, the business is selling influence. Maybe you were thinking I was going to write that the business of the latter is selling God. But what these religions have in common is that they enable ideological authorities sell their influence over communities of faithful believers to a mercenary plutocratic predatory few that prey upon the many of our global culture.

it rather is my greatest concern. I dont have self assurance in God via fact i'm a style of those that issues could be shown to me. although how I. the international did the very beginning up of the universe begin. no longer something in basic terms seems. remarkable? although the religion itself is a. advantageous ingredient it teaches very sturdy morals and that i think that if your a non secular Christian 9 out of 10 circumstances your a sturdy hearted respectable individual so I even have no longer something againts it. My outlook is that with a view to be "saved" you may truley have self assurance in God. in case you in basic terms decide directly to have self assurance in abode to "keep your ***" then its no longer a real ideals and that's what concerns me. If there's a heaven i choose to pass yet i'm no longer able to easily say i think while i do no longer.

Yes but it is also true that most of them are wrong.
Luke said narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life and few are the ones finding it.
Most things done in the name of religion is a lie.
Christianity is full of pagan customs, and misrepresentations.
and outright lies. Told as truth. To earn money. or gain power.
The other religions are the same. This Islamic ruler wants to be all powerful. worship me god talks to me.
Fight for me, kill for me. christians aren't any better, they ask people to fight and die and then fight to get the ten commandments on the court house lawn that says thou shalt not kill. They are all wrong.

God is real, but he is not some old man in the sky, just change the word god to nature and you are right on the mark.

That's your reason for believing? Cause lotsa other people believe it? Wow, ya know, lots of people used to believe the world was flat...and what do you know...they were WRONG. It's no wonder with comments like that, that people call christians "sheep". Lots of people all over the world are committing suicide too....maybe you should join them, seems like the popular thing to do.

What is obvious is that people are frightened of dying and that they will find a way to help them deal with that anxiety, even if it means deluding themselves in a variety of different fashions. Just because a majority of people believe something doesn't make it true. That's impoverished logic.

Just because many cultures have superstitions surrounding black cats causing bad luck, doesn't mean that they actually do. It's a weak arguement for a god belief to claim that since so many believe it must be true.
