"Humping" in female dogs is a dominance behavior. She is trying to show dominance over the other female dogs. As far as the leg activity, Her actions are her effort to show dominance over whomever she is doing it to. You can possibly curb this activity by showing your own dominance. Do this by (BTY I am not being sick or absurd) straddling her back, then slowly move downward like you are going to ride her like a horse. Once your body has made contact with hers she will get the picture. You may have to do this a few times. She will then see you as dominant and not try to hump your leg. She may also see that all humans are dominant over her and stop doing it to other people as well.

I know this sounds odd but... "humping" is a sign of dominance. And usually the male is the more dominent animal so as going on the top. There are other ways of showing dominance in dogs such as fighting. This is just your dogs way of showing she is the most dominent female.

yeh my girl does the same thing to her step-brother! i agree with the other comments, its a dominance thing, and really it should be discouraged, as the "humpee" could take it personally later on in life - and dislike other girls because they see them as trying to dominate them again...even if they aren't! But it is very funny i must say, I can't help having a chuckle before I stop her! Not that my boy seems to mind, he just sits there looking pathetic!

It's for domination. She just wants to be the Alpha dog in the pack...

It could be dominance or it could also be because of displaced energy (she's nervous, so she humps...she's excited, so she humps, etc.).
