I am only including this as it has become an issue in the current political discussions. The current euphoria, or hysteria, over the imminent return of Jesus Christ as King over all the earth is a 150 year old doctrinal error. Prior to that time, the teaching of the Christian Churches (including the Baptist Church) was that the Second Coming was a metaphor within the framework of the establishment of a spiritual kingdom. Evan at the hands of the Roman persecutors, Jesus insisted that His kingdom was spiritual. The spiritual kingdom of Jesus Christ began with his ascension to heaven in approximately 33 A.D. and is abiding quite nicely without the intervention and interference of the bombastic boisterous Religious Right. It would be a good idea if you did some research on Preterism9. There is a quote from the third century Sayings of Jesus which says, "The Kingdom of Heaven is in you." So why look elsewhere?

I don't know when Jesus is coming, I don't think it will be in my lifetime. The world has been going in the wrong direction for years and people think that the end is near. I believe it is going to get much worse before the wrath of God comes before us. Just my thoughts.

Though the Bible is very clear that we should not speculate an exact time and date---I will tell you that as the items on the news play out everyday on our tv sets----I see more and more about what the book of revelations calls "the end times." This morning I heard 3 anchors (tv talk show hosts) talking about putting "electronic chips" in people to use the global positioning trackers. Talk about end times. I shuddered when I heard it but know it is only a matter of time.
Just keep looking up for your redemption draws near. :-) PRAISE GOD!!!!

WHATEVER!!!!! So when he gets here, then what? Hes not coming. I believe in God and Jesus but either one of them are coming. Dont you think he would of came here already? Why wait for the end. Doesnt make any sense to me.

No one knows. Not even Jesus. Only God knows. I wouldn't think about that too much. Focus on what God has for you right now.
