You can't, and even if you could...you wouldn't get anywhere, because of the size of the truck, it is considered a natural disaster...You need to just bite the bullet and take it up with your insurance...

First of all, unless the truck is a rock hauler, you're not going to get anywhere. If it is, the company may be responsible, since they're not supposed to be losing any portion of their load.

However, if it was just a rock from the street, you are out of luck. The trucking company is not responsible for debris that is already on the road.

Usuallly your insurance company will tell you they don't even want to know where the rock came from. You can get no-deductible glass coverage on your car, by the way.

Your county's Court House automobile/license plate divison can likely give you a print out, however there may be a fee.

I just turned the information over to my insurance company and they went after the truck. It was over $1,000 to replace the windshield of my new Mercedes.

First do you have a company name of the big truck. If so you can call the company.
Second you can try http://www.people-search.com/ReverseLicensePlate.htm or http://www.peoplesearch.com/dmv.shtml
Thirdly you can give it to your insurance company and they can get it.
