My dad was saying that my little brother could have choked on a sock that was on his foot and he was eating it. He eats his feet and usually takes his socks off like he does with a hat. But is that true what my dad said?

Yes a child can choke on a sock and just about anything they can get in their mouths (which seems to be everything possible). They need to be well-attended to.

You've got an attentive dad. He probably made sure you didn't choke either. Give him a hug the next time you see him! He probably deserves it.

Yep. Kids can choke on just about anything they stick in their mouths and socks are pliant. The kid could be startled about choking on it and not think to grab the thing out!!

Yes, it could cause his tongue to roll back which will cover up his airways causing him to choke. This is especially possible if he is under three.
