If your creative, than you can make an album for him. Pictures of you guys together, with stickers and pretty decorations. If you dont have time to that, than you can buy a pretty frame, and put you and your husbands picture inside.
Or you can get him a really nice watch.
Or go somewhere really nice and have dinner.
Or you can get him a ring again, that has your name engraved inside.
Or you can write him a poem. If you dont have time, you can go here http://www.lovepoemsandquotes.com/ and youll find great poems that will be perfect for your marriage. You can pick one out, and write it on a pretty card, or you can make the card, put your pix of you and your hubby in the front.
use your imagination and have fun with it.
Congradulations by the way! Wish you guys a long and beautiful marriage together! And may God bless you and you new family!

Your time. Turn off the phone and tell everyone you went out of town if you can't afford to, or find a secret getaway with no phones or Internet. Talk about why you married him, what has worked in your 1st year and what hasn't. Talk about the future. Be intimate, not just have sex, but connect spiritually, emotionally and psychologically. Praise him for what he has done right, and forgive him for what he's screwed up.
And if you are not happy, or your needs are not being met (or his as well), make a commitment to work on that, or be honest about it and decide where you go from here.

If paper is the for the first Anniversary, write what you are going to do to him the next time you are together alone. Put it in and envelope and give that.

Be traditional and go with the paper theme BUT be imaginative at the same time...
Go to a party supply store and buy a few rolls of crepe paper streamers in his favorite color(s) then hang a few streamers from the ceiling with little love notes attached to them.
With any leftover streamers, make a big bow, tie it around your waist and wear only the bow when he comes home from work. I promise, he'll remember this gift for years to come :-)

Technically, the first anniversary is the paper anniversary...a nice card or a picture or something...what does he want?

Use your imagination..,go out and get something sexy for yourself..,cook him his favorite meal when he gets home and let the games begin..,he would love that.Men are usually easy to please.Have a hot bath ready for him and candles and bathe him.All kinds of romantic things you can do for him to let him know how lucky you are to have a good man and how much you appreciate him.Congradulations!

Traditionally it's suppose to be paper but you don't have to stick to that. What are his favorite things ? Does he have any hobby's ? Does he collect anything special ? Maybe start a collection/hobby of something he really likes.
