When i talk to someone, i would like to know their age b'cos based that i can modulate the way i talk to them.
Recently, i used to chat with a 13 yrs old girl. And to her i used to talk things with a more of a kiddish angel.
At the same time, i used to even chat with a 35 yrs old lady. To her i was more respectful and looked at every since thing in a really matured angel.
I would say that, trying to know a person's age is not anything bad. But taking into consideration about the number of ppl who try to cheat. Be careful.
For me, i feel kinda uncomfortable talking to someone totally strange. Knowing something about them will be me feel comfortable in the conversation. When i talk to someone is person, i try to analyse their age, character and things like that. And based on that, the tone and mood of the conversation is modulated.
So, in ur case. Be careful, maybe the person is just trying to have a conversation with u or maybe he is a cheat or just a s_e_x pervert hoping that a strange girl on the net will give him some good time.

I would relax a bit for starters. He could be a nutcase, but it is more likely he is just trying to connect with you a bit.
If you are not comfortable answering him and/or telling him your age then thats your call. Even though one should be careful with talking to strangers, just remember when you hear hooves, look for horses you look for zebras.

You would know the answer to this question if you were truly psychic. But since you obviously are not, here goes. He wants to know your age so that he will not get in trouble for for corresponding with a minor. (girl answer)

i think some guys, myself included, just wouldnt feel comfortable talking about somethings with 13 year olds. i mean im 22, thats like talking to my niece or something. its....disturbing. 16 is just pushing it.
