A U.S. citizen may acquire foreign citizenship by marriage, or a person naturalized as a U.S. citizen may not lose the citizenship of the country of birth.U.S. law does not mention dual nationality or require a person to choose one citizenship or another.
*****Also, a person who is automatically granted another citizenship does not risk losing U.S. citizenship. However, a person who acquires a foreign citizenship by applying for it may lose U.S. citizenship. In order to lose U.S. citizenship, the law requires that the person must apply for the foreign citizenship voluntarily, by free choice, and with the intention to give up U.S. citizenship.*****
**** Read this VERY CAREFULLY.

Don't know about you becoming an Eucaidorian Citizen but your soon to be husband could certianly apply for US Citizenship once you are married... You'd have to look into the Mexican Citizenship thing too... though most countries allow dual citizenship and allow spouses of citizens to apply for citizenship in said countries... Congratulations on your wedding!

Many of the previous answers are more or less correct: in short, you never just "inherit" citizenship through marriage, but every country will allow you to apply for residency and (later) citizenship based on the marriage if your foreign spouse cooperates and if you want to.

You should be able to, but probably with a lot of paperwork. My suggestion: Talk to an embassy either on the phone or in person. Ask them this same question. Most likely, I believe you will gain the nationality of the country you both live in.
