Dirt color shows the least dirt... Something tan or light brown.

The hardest car to keep clean is a black one... But they look sooooooo good when they're shiny!

I have owned 3 grey/silver cars, they almost never need to be washed. Now I have a white pick-up, it shows alot of dirt if going down dirt roads alot. But, if not, it looks clean most of the time. I also drove a black car and a bright red car and they seemed to get dirty right after being washed. Even a light rain shower would spot the cars up. You can see regular dust from the air accumulating on dark coloured cars. I will only buy silver cars/trucks they look the cleanest.

It depends on what kind of use you´re gonna give to the car.
A good color for a city car is a medium gray because it gets dust over the paint.
A good colour for a country car might be brown because it gets dirt directly from the land and that is usually brown and it can be somehow discrete with that colour.
The dirtiest colour of all is black or white, because it always makes the dirt contrast and everyone will notice you've got a dirty vehicle.

A medium gray color shows the least dirt and white shows the most dirt, although black will show any fingerprint.

I never had a problem in the Army with my desert camo colored HumVee showing dirt. So my guess is light brown for dirt hiding. I have had White cars and black cars and they both were bad, but black wins. It can look dirty an hour after you washed it.

It seems that white shows the least and black shows the most but that is just my opinion.
