Do you mean favorite artist as in music, or art? Musically, I have many favorite artists...too many to name...Artistically, I adore Nene Thomas, and Amy Brown...I've heard Johnny Depp is pretty good...and I like a few of Viggo Mortensen's things...

This is such a hard question because I like so many styles. The early Impressionists are probably one of my favorites. Renior, Degas and Pissaro are some fav's. But I also like the big landscapes from Gainsbourgh and others. Tough question.

Michelangelo Merisi di Caravaggio, not to be confused with Michelangelo Buonarroti. He was a genius who was able to paint directly onto the canvas without preliminary sketching or cartoons and then bring his work to an incredible level of finish. His portrayal of captured emotions is superb.

DaVince probably because he was a true Renaissance Man. Art for the sake of art: Monet or VanGough (except that he was a bit off). I do like some of Dali's work too though.

Thomas Kinkade
He is known as The Painter of Light,
and is the best selling artist alive today.
His paintings are very peaceful, scenic,
and quite inspirational.
My favorite is "Sunrise" (click link below to view)

Salvador Dali. He shows everyday things in a new, twisted light...quite an imagination.
