The only way to "repair" a split end is to cut it. If you don't it will just keep splitting farther up the hair shaft and cause more damage to your hair. If you know you are prone to split-ends you can get hair products to help prevent them. The best way I have found to truly prevent them is to get a trim every 6-8 weeks. Deep condition your hair once a week to help keep it hydrated and that should also help.
Good Luck!

You can't repair split ends. There is not a product on the earth that will. No matter what stylists and commercials tell you.
The only wat to get rid of a split is to trim it away. After that, you can help prevent them by treating your hair gently. Use gentle products, don't pile your hair on top of your head when you wash- that causes tangles that you then have to work out of your hair, causing splits. Use a rich conditioner with great slip and comb your conditioner-loaded hair in the shower with a wide-tooth seamless comb.
After you rinse, use a leave in with slip. Blot, don't rub your hair with your towel. Comb gently, from the ends up with a wide tooth seamless comb. Don't tear through tangles, work them out slowly and carefully. Never, never, never brush wet or damp hair!! That will cause stretching, splitting and breakage. If you go to a salon, don't alow the stylist to brush your wet or damp hair, either! They should know better. If they insist, find a new stylist.
Avoid heat. Stay away from blow dryers, flat irons, hot rollers and curling irons. Heat damages your hair, causing breaking and split ends.
If you want to use a brush, get a natural boar bristle brush. Brush gently, just a few strokes per panel of hair. If you encounter a tangle, don't rip through it with your brush, work it carefully out with your comb.
If your hair is long, consider wearing it up, fastened with hair safe clips or pins or hairsticks. Updos are pretty and protect your hair from tangling and friction, which can lead to split ends. Good luck with your hair. I HTH.

You need to condition and protect your hair daily. After you shower apply a light leave in conditioner to your ends. Also, do a deep conditioning treatment weekly. AND ALWAYS ALWAYS go in every 6-8 weeks for regular trims! These steps will treat and prevent split ends forever!

you can't repair split ends, you will have to get them trimmed off. You can prevent them by deep conditioning your hair often, and not using alot of HEAT products on it.

Trim off a few inches and use a good leave-in detangler after you shampoo and before you comb your hair. Also try to limit your hairs exposure to sun and wind. Wear a hat when you are going to be outdoor for prolonged periods.

you have to trim your hair every now and then to prevent them. but...don't use a brush on your hair when it's wet. use a deep conditioner at least once a week. if you have bad split ends, i'm guessing your hair is fairly dry. don't be afraid to condition. it helps. if you color your hair, try roux porosity care. it can literally save it.
