What could this verse mean? Many Christians believe this to prove God's existance, because recent scientists have discovered fresh water in the ocean...
Job 38:16 "Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea
or walked in the recesses of the deep? "

That quote means nothing. It requires too much justifying on the behalf of the reader to interpret the quote to indicate that the bible correctly predicts the presence of fresh water in the ocean (which also happens where nearly EVERY river drains into the ocean). Be that as it may, the Bible talks about things like "air" throughout several parts, which of course we know exists, and according to this logic, this would consitute evidence of god. I think not.

Interesting question.

It's a translation issue; "spring" has also been translated as depths or abyss. A deep place is like a well and a well is like a spring.

But you're not supposed to try to prove God's existence. You're supposed to have faith. And love your enemies.

Fresh water pours into seas and oceans every second of the day.
Anyone who's followed a river to the sea can tell you that.
No great revelation there.
