Mosquitos carry West Nile...so you have to prevent yourself from getting bitten. Wear bug repellant and control the mosquito population around your yard. There are mosquito "zappers" out there that are machines which attract then kill mosquitos. They're quite effective.

um is this a serious question? if so, then technicaly there is no way to keep from getting it. mosquitos carry it. but the chance of actually catching it are pretty low. like iin a billion bugs carry it, and the chances of you getting bitten by one are slim.. dont believe everything ya hear on the news, scary stories are good for ratings.

Don't get bitten by misquito's that are infected with it. Use insect repellent, wear long sleeves and don't go outside in the early morning or evening. That's pretty much it.
