Well i also live in south carolina. I am 23 years old.My kids are 5 and 6. So i have been there girl.So maybe you are just trying to get on your feet.I never had to get low income because of my ex.But i do know that u need to go get some applications and fill them ou t-take back and find out how long the waiting list is.Check the phone book and call and ask which ones are low-income.So u don't waste gas.Good luck oh, and a piece of advice-DO NOT depend on other people!If u don't have a job go find one you are making decisions for 2 people now.GOOD LUCK

You need to go to your local Division of Family Services and tell them you are looking into housing assistance. They may have Chapter 8 in your state, but normally the housing is in a pretty undesirable part of town. You can also try getting an apartment with some friends to split and reduce the cost of living.
