You should do whatever fits your schedule. Exercise should be a part of your daily activities.
I do a routine exercise 7 days a week, 30 minutes each day.
Some people need more, some less, it all depends upon your personal body.

Start off easy.
5 Minutes when you wake up before doing ANYTHING else. If you sleep naked, then wake up, and jump on that thing naked for 5 minutes ... no coffee ... water ... maybe pee if you MUST.
5 Minutes after you eat anything ... so, if you have a cup of coffee and toast, then do 5 minutes after eating. You eat a donut or carrot ... immediatly walk 5 minutes ... breakfast - lunch - dinner ... walk 5 minutes ....
Do this for 21 - 30 days ... as it takes 21-30 days to form a life long habit. When you're out of the house, then continue to walk at least 5 minutes after each time you eat.
Then as you get used to it increase the speed, resistance, and time.

depends how quickly u wanna lose weight or how overweight u are.
if its for light exercise, i'd say twice a week for 1 hour and do other exercises in that time as well like using a rowing machine, very good for burning calories! Do some weights as well maybe.

20 mins a day, anything that highers your heart rate for 20 mins a day will help u lose weight, so dance too xx
