You can definitely do all that and more.

just to put this in perspective, I am 28 now.

When in high school I didn't take any honors classes and kept my GPA at or above 3.5 for all 4 years. I was fully involved with sports, band, and worked 2 or 3 days a week.

I was able to get into the University of Michigan which is one of the top public universities in the nation. I graduated with both a major and a minor (Marketing/psychology) in just 4 years.

I consider high school to be the best time of my life. I went to every dance, and had dates every weekend. Don't let academic pressure stop you from living to your fullest, and likewise don't let outside activity distract you from your academic persuit. It is a difficult balancing act.

Remember that AP and Honors are great to an admissions board but so are SAT,ACT scores. When you are looking back at your life in 20 years you will not care if you took honors english or not, but you will remember battle of the bands, and drama performances.

Yes, just do well. You don't have to take all the AP classes, but don't take any challenging classes. Maybe one or two CP classes.
