You should talk to you mom, because she will always be there for you. As far as alone with you mom, here is something I try to do with my daughter, we have a mom and daughter lunch on the week-end every two month. I know that not a lot we do alot of talking at that time. It is also a lot of fun.

Just take her to the restroom or in her or your bedroom and lock the door so you can have some alone time with your mom. well for one you probable feel this way because you never really talk to your mom about these things. you should try to be more open with your mom trust me she's been there and she can give you some really good advice.

I am not sure. Has your mom explained you the cycle and what brings the monthly period on? Maybe that's why you feel weird when you talk to her---I find that a lot of girls do not know....let me know, because I will be more than happy to help you out

When I was young I never talked to anybody about it except the doc.I'm older and believe me you'll be happy to have someone to talk to when the embarrassment wears off.Oh, and if you haven't had it long that's probably why too.

It's embarassment you're feeling. IT's ok because this is such a hard topic to discuss. It's a very private matter. It's normal to feel weird.

I think that maybe you just don't like too get emtional! When my mom started to talk about how i was growing up i felt uneasy and uncomfortable! I mean it's your mom! We'd rather talk to our friends about that stuff!

Embarrassment is quite normal when talking to a parent or any adult for that matter about private manners such as this. Just keep talking to her about it, the embarrassment will cease with time. :)
