Or dumb a*** is another one I've seen a lot. If the answer was so obvious to the person asking the question, they wouldn't need to ask it, would they. Duh back to all of you who have responded like that.

Those who answer questions with "duh" or some other disdainful remark, can you explain what your point is?

Is it possible you could cut some people slack and consider that not everyone in this world is exposed to the same exact terms, phrases, culture, people that you are?

(It's not going to seem clever to answer this with "duh" so don't waste your keystrokes. ;)

I should add that I mean this in reference to legit questions. The type of questions people might ask like "what does this word mean" or "what is the state capitol of..."

Not ones that seem goofy like "should I pee outside when I have to go".

Because I think they are gaming for points. And they don't know what else to put as an answer. That is why they have nothing better to put as an answer. Honestly these type of words should not be allowed as answer's or any part of an answer I think its disrespectful.

I'm not defending, but have you seen some of the questions? (Someone said that he thought sex felt good and wondered if anyone else thought the same.) I'm sure alot of the "duh"s are for the intentionally dumb ones. It may also be out of frustration for the person asking. Some questions deserve a simple "duh" since the answers are SO obvious and should be to the writer. Most with personal questions already know the answer if they read their own question as an outsider. The "duh" may just be a wake up call.

Becasue alot of the people on here enjoy putting others down. Every question that is asked there is always a "duh", and there is always at least one person who judges you and writes a scathing answer.... those are the people who are truly pathetic...
They think they are being so clever when in reality all they are doing is taking time out of thier lives to write a meaningless answer to someones question and beleive me the fact that these losers get to be anoymous really has alot to do with it....I doubt any of them would give an answer like that face to face!

The scary part is the people that click on the question because they think there is going to be something funny about it. Then they are disappointed when it's not. Therefore the dumb remarks. That's my opinion anyway.

Oh no!! You caught me! I JUST used "duh" as a response to an answer... for the first time ever. I used my answer to show joking sarcasm. The questions was "Do ninja hand signs really work?" Obviously they do not, otherwise everyone would be a ninja. so I answered "Duh!" as in "Of course!" even though we all know they don't. It was silly and inane and I'm sorry if it offended you. ;_;

But really, I wouldn't do this to a serious question because I think that's rude.

Some of the questions on this site are beyond stupid and I often feel like typing --slapping myself on the side of the head but duh is fewer key strokes.
