Yes, I actually have. But I didn't do it on my own power. I asked God to overcome it for me, and I cooperated.

Demons, can mean a number of things. Demons doesn't always mean horrify monstrous creatures. Demons, could be ones addiction to drugs, alcohol, it could even be ones trouble past. A best where bad things happened to them, but they held it in for so long never got the help they needed. Demons could be a number of other things.
But many people have over come them.

Yes I have. I also am working on a few. I guess I spend too much time trying to develop my own skills at patience rather than remember that that is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I need to let the character of the Holy Spirit come through me. Surrender my will, not try to augment my will. I don't have the power to overcome disobedience but God has the power through me to zap any demon. So, I guess the bottem line is....have you (me) surrendered completely to the will of God?

I've been through a lot, sickness, real strong ones, death of immediate family members, sister died at 24, 7 years ago.
I don´t think anyone can help overcoming something but yourself, religion can help but doesn't work like magic, it all comes down to accepting fate and CHOOSING to overcome whatever comes your way.

Yep. I've quit smoking. And stopped taking drugs. Turned my career around and written a novel (unpublished, and unlikely to be. But its an achievement all the same). Gradually getting out of debt, too.

Yes, I finally got over my habit of bad guys, but not before one was shot to death, another is in prison for the next 12 yrs., and another got strung out on drugs. Glad to say that I'm alive, free with a perfect criminal history, and have never tried any type of drugs, and I don't drink. Only God delivered me because the company you keep can make or break you. I'm blessed not to be broken into pieces.

Of course, over and over again and on a daily basis. The struggle against one or the other personal problem never ends...there's always something!

Yup - mine was a low self-esteem issue. I could not stand to look at myself in the mirror, I thought I was a complete and total loser.. I was married an abusive as* who totally defeated me...well, that was 6 years ago...I've never been happier or stronger..not only do I love who I am, I now volunteer with other battered women.

Yup, won't go into details here, but it was through therapy that I overcame the problem.

I'm working on it at this time. My personal demons are soda/pepsi (I'm addicted to the sugar), bad language (cleaning it up for when we start having our own kids).
