I have fallen in love with my friend (girl) and she is all that I can think about. She has everyting that I look for in a girl like a great personality, good looks etc. The only problem is, is that I am not sure if she likes me in the same way or even in just a similar way. How do I go about telling her how I feel about her? Should I do it in person, over the phone, letter, etc? Is there anything that I should do that would make myself more appealing to her so that it would make it hard for her to not like me more than just a friend? I am 21 and I have had gf's before but this girl could be the ONE and I dont want to mess things up. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Letters are pretty sweet but if you can say it in person, that's much better. If you really like her, tell her now, but choose the right words as to not frighten her or somethin. You could give subtle hints of course, girls fall for guys who are sweet, take advantage of situations where you two are alone and the timing and ambiance is just right. Tell her you think she's one of the nicest girl you've ever met. But dont overdo it, you dont wanna overwhelm her. Treat the conversation as a heart to heart talk with a very close friend so you wont get nervous. Tell her how you feel, but dont pressure her into replying to that, just tell her straight. Most of all, tell her you value your friendship and that you're just bein honest.

I don't think there is such a thing as "the one", but rather that there is someone that you came across that is better than the rest, but who knows if you might get someone better later on.

Anyway, as you said, you like this girl a lot, but the problem is that she's your friend and you don't want to mess up the relationship that you have with her now. The thing that you should think about is wether you can stay friends with her, even if you have these feelings towards her? I think that if you do stay friends maybe that feeling will die out, however, it may also become so hard to see her and still not be able to be with her. There are a few solutions that you might chose, some of them are goofy, some are stupid and some are good... All might work, but depends for how long.

1. you can be honest with her and tell her the way you feel. She might tell you that she doesnt feel the same way and you will be releaved that you finally know. She might tell you that she feels the same way about you and you will end up together. If she doesn't have the same feelings it's still not a problem. you might stay friends which would be ok, but i don't know if you would be able to, also you might feel wierd around her and not be friends anymore. Would you want her around you even if you know that you can't have her? To me that would be torture.

2. you could invite her to a party, bar, house and get drunk together and tell her then. This way you would have more courage to tell her, but it might end up very messy if you get too drunk. Even if something does happen between you two that wouldnt mean that she's into you, but rather that she was drunk. so i don't advise this method.

3. you could tell her over the phone, but over the phone you cant see her and can't see her bodylanguage. The body often tells a lot about the persons feelings. Even if she said no, her body might give you clues if she really means it or not. She might want to, but be unsure about it since you're friends.

Well, so far this is only a few things i could think of, but i believe #1 is the best way to do it. even if you lose her as a friend, you'll know what she feels. it will be hard for a while, but you'll feel better in the end.

The one thing I can tell you upfront is to tackle this in person---not over the phone, not in a letter, only in person. The next thing I have to say is that unfortunately, if you want your chance, you will have to take the risk of rejection(which I doubt though). You will only know if she feels the same way if you talk to her. It would not surprise me if she is waiting for you to give the word!!!!!!! Unless she has a b/f, you don't really mention anyone in the picture, so I really would say go for it. Buy some flowers and some chocolate or something when you meet with her. Take her to a quiet restaurant where you can talk to her. It would not surprise me if you were successful....Good Luck

If you don't tell her, she will never know. Can you really imagine looking back 20 years from now & wondering "what if"? She may feel the same way & just be too shy to tell you. Girls often don't want to put themselves out there in case they risk losing your friendship. Personally, I TOLD my crush how I felt him. It was funny b/c I had a little office crush & told the guy that I was over the office crush & had a new one. When he wanted more details, I gave them. But, I am older than your girl probably is & have a lot more confidence than I did when I was in my early 20s. Just don't tell her she may be the one; that sounds a little obsessive. Tell her in person so you can judge her reaction or if you are nervous, maybe a card-then the ball is in her court.
Good luck!!!

I would write her letter and mail it to her house, on the same day she gets it make sure that flowers are delivered that night to her by you in person. Be honest about how you feel and understanding if she doesn't feel the same way, but something tells me she just might. Give her a chance to respond to you, I would give her 2 days if she doesn't respond to you in a positive way when you show up with the flowers, I wouldn't call her a few days letter not being all upset, i would call and see if she says anything or how she is toward me......... blessed be and good luck.........

Casually ask her out somewhere, spend the day having a good time, (take this time to smoothly woo her), and when the day is about to end tell her FACE to FACE how u feel. It is way better to do this in person so u can see her reaction, and get a chance to look her in the eye and stress ur seriousness to her. Either u guys will be 2gether or stay awesome friends. Good Luck

don't do it by txt or on the phone! really don't think she'd appreciate it. if you think you'll mess it up doing it in person then write a letter, this has a more romantic touch to it and also allows you to compose your thoughts etc. let her know that if she doesn't feel the same about you you'll still be there as a friend and won't think any less of her. she needs to know this. but be prepared that if she don't feel the same it may change things between you

If i were you i would tell her on the phone or in person, it shows a girl that you really do like them. Don't change anything about you, she already likes you as a friend the way you are, so stay how you are, and hopefully she'll have the same feelings that you have for her!!!
GOOD LUCK!!

ok tell her in person theres nothing i would hate more then to find out that a person loves me it in a note/letter, voice mail, or over the phone. you should tell her because she needs to know!! if you love her tell her dont wait because if you wait then you could lose her and you wouldnt want that...i know you wouldnt. you shouldnt wait, tell her ASAP!! go to her tell her now if possible, she'll understand if she really is the person you say she is....

good luck =) i hope she feels the same way too!!!
