They are both wonderful people who would help anyone, anytime. They taught my brother and myself to respect others and to treat them as we would like to be treated.

What I admire about my mom is her rich life and how she is able to stand up for her self and not let people walk all over her anymore.
What i admire about my dad is that he gave his heart to the Lord and is trying to live a better life. He left before i was born and hasn't been a good father but i admire him for trying to change.

My mom and dad are my heroes, mom being an army wife and Dad being a retired Green Beret from tha army, went to Viet nam 3 times, couldnt be more proud of both. Being an army wife and mom has to be the hardest job on this side of the pacific, she did the main job here at home, as Dad was doing his job for Uncle Sam and keeping democracy and the US free.

How they took their wedding vows seriously.
They only thought about each other and their family and they both worked hard.
My dad had a good job and my mom stayed home. She worked just as hard as he did.
She cooked the meals, cleaned the house, cut the grass, took care of the kids, the laundry-everything, and she enjoyed it!
They were together for over 50 years, till my dad died, and now my mom always says he was her one and only - there will never be another one like him. Sweet.

I admire that even though I make mistakes my father does not lecture me but understands that it is in my personality to live and learn. I also admire that he was 18 when I was born yet he was man enough to work 3 jobs to support us.

My father raised four kids when my Mom walked out on us (I ws three weeks old - my oldest sister was10), this was in 1967. People in our town thought he should put us in foster care since there wasn't a woman in the house.
My Dad never spoke one bad word against her in our presence...she died last Mothers Day. I never grew to care for her very much - only met her at 16.....
My Dad is a great man and I respect him for many things but mostly for keeping our family together.

I admire both my parents. My mom for loving me enough to stay at home and raise me. Additionally, her devotion to philanthropy and spiritually. She sent me Jesuit Catholic school which emphasized getting involved with the community and serving it.
My mother cooked amazing dinners for us every night, which was a true gift of love. I admire my dad for his "Renaissance" approach to life and learning. I appreciated the fact that both of my parents raised me to believe that I could do anything that I set my mind to, and work change in the world I wanted to.
Both parents made me feel confident about taking strategic risks and thinking big.

my mum raised 6 children, our dog and three cats. looks after my niece while my sister works. even though we're not well off always promised she'd put me through university. also she has always accepted me and loved me for who i am, and has always allowed me my freedom. also she was our rock when my dad died
my dad left when i was 4 and moved to Germany but while he could have been like other fathers who ignored his children he would come to England every 2 weeks to see us and always took an interest in us up until his death. so while friends of mine still have a dad but one who doesn't care enough about them, I'll always have those 16 years i spent with him
