I think it's rediculous. Students should be allowed to show their personality in the way they dress, however, they should not be wearing clothing that advertises drugs and sex and the like.

I have been in schools with uniforms and without uniforms and I must say that I like the uniforms better. You spend less money buying uniforms than always having to buy new outfits for school. Also, I think there is less drama in schools with uniforms because of the problems that come with wearing "tight" jeans or shirts with the females. I don't know if as far as grades it will make a difference but like I said before, if everyone is dressed the same then there is fewer arguments between students about who is dressed better or sexier than who. I don't think teachers should wear uniforms but they should follow the same dress codes rules that are enforced on kids.

Since this is in the home school category I feel that uniforms in home school is a little silly. My one requirement is that they wear clean clothes. But if my kids went to private or even public school I would not mind uniforms. I feel that would take the emphasis off of clothes and onto learning.

It's kinda like work. When I wear jeans to work I'm more lax. My School wore Uniforms and Jeans on Friday. But we also had choices. 5 Different colored Polos and Navy/Khaki Pants/skirt/shorts. Kids need some freedom but starring at a brightly colored tour band T-shirt in class is distracting.

I think it is a good idea as not to have a teacher have to get a ruler out to measure how short a pair of shorts are, how much "plumber cracks" shows, and now, as in Texas, if cleavage is exposed, ( I see a law suit over all that), it will keep the focus on school, and not where childrens minds are going to wander by nature anyhow. Save the fashion shows for the mall and movies.

I think it is way better to have uniforms. That way you do not have to set any polocies for a dress code. except one, whitch is wear your uniform. And if they want students to wear uniforms yes i think the teachers should too.

i kinda dont think dress code has an effect on grades. but because with polos if students dont have money they can just wash their polos and wear them again and no one would know.
