You obviously don't know this person very well so my answer would be 'who cares?' Go out a few more times and you will find your answer to wether this person is being honest with you. Time tells all.

That one actually does sound legit - if he was trying to blow you off, he'd just say, "Let's get together another time" and not specify when, and people DO get called in to work unexpectedly.

no I think that it's a totally ligit reason at least he called and didn't just blow you off I know your his gf but just try to keep in mind that he has other responsibilities and unfortunately those sometimes have to come first but just let him know you understand and be there to support him when he needs it Good Luck :)
