just sit back and close your eyes, they are over so quickly and the pain is very minimal...no biggie, just think of something else.

If you get a shot from behind, yes, you have to stand up, and yes, you do have to lose the pants. Some doctors will just make you move them down as far as it takes to get to the fat of the hip. Others will make you take them down completely.

I was afraid of needles, too, but I started insisting on getting all shots in the arm instead of from behind. That way I could see what the doctor was doing, and I actually started to feel better about it. When they draw blood, I still have to turn away, but at least I don't faint or freak out. If you haven't had many shots before, you'll eventually get used to it. Donate blood for the Red Cross once every few months. You'll be getting over your fear while helping someone else. It's a start.

It depends on what the shot is. Most shots are given in the arm and you do not have to undress. The best advice I can give you is to sit still during the shot - it will hurt less. To prevent sorness for the next few days, after you recieve the shot move your arm around, do some push-ups and other arm exercises when you get home.

For a shot in the but you usually lie down and yes you undress. Do not think about the needle just do not look at it and you will be fine. I am deathly afraid of needles and that is what I do. I think about something sweet and it does not bother me.

Some injections will have to be administered through the back end, but most are through the arm.

Nobody likes being poked with a needle. I would maybe ask the nurse to not tell you when they are going to inject (e.g., you are going to feel a poke) right beforehand, because that always increased my anxiety.

I just look ahead, stay calm and its over before I know it. Really shots aren't that bad, it's the anticipation of it that's the worst.

I really hate needles too. Just don't look and make sure that they know that you don't want to know when it happens. I hate when they tell you that they are about to stick you. Try to keep your muscles relaxed and it will hurt less. Plus I usually focus on something in the wall. My 18 month old had to shots today and that was way more tramatic than getting them myself.

Look the other way and try to relax as much as possible. The more tense you are, the more it will hurt. Take deep breaths and relax. You're usually sitting down when they adminster shots.

The Flu Shot? If its for the the flu then there is not any want for a shot! you could in basic terms ask your well being practitioner in case you will get the flu mist rather! Thats what I did. Its in basic terms like, nasal spray for once you have a runny nostril? It tastes a sprint funky yet who cares remarkable? as long as its soreness loose! ;D desire this helped!

You may have to undress, but you mgiht just be able to pull your pants down a bit. You probably don't HAVE to lay down.

Shots are really no big deal. They're quick. It won't be so bad. Just don't look when they do it.

Most of the time you feel nothing.
Do you have an Ipod? Tell the doctor not to tell you when he is gonna do it, put on your earphones, turn on the volume, play your favorite song and sing along with it.
Chances are that you won't even notice.
