my missus took up horse riding after a 20 year break her rear is killing her anybody any tips for protecting her butt from chaffing
any tips much appreciated.

the soreness will heal...a little lubrication and TLC will soon cure what ails her..... make sure she sticks to short rides not long hacks otherwise she'll be fit for nothing...but sweet that you are so supportive

When riding she should use her knees like shocks!! Slightly stand in the stirrups and use your knees as shocks like I said. Your *** bouncing up and down in the saddle is as hard on you as it is the horse. When just trotting find a groove with the horse stand one step then sit one step, kind of in an up and down motion...it will help a lot. Then she could probably use a good *** rubbing from her old man when she gets done. Good luck

For serious horseback riding you need tight fitting jeans and a saddle that fits both horse and rider.

Make her take up golf. Her a*** it too bony for riding.
