it depends on wat they like. A girl......maybe a doll or if she likes arts and crafts stuff you can get her one of those kits where you can make jewlery and stuff. For a boy if they like games get them a video game. if they likes sports give them something like a baseball glove with a baseball or a football.

Littlest Pet Shop. My son 5 and my Daughter 7 have been collecting them for close to 2 years now. They love them! you can add on to the collection for as little as $3.50. It is one of the toys that they love and continue to play with. They are easy to find, there are several retail stores that carry them including Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, etc. They seem to hold their value and can be resold when the child grows out of them.

Boy - Any kind of hot wheels/matchbox set.
Girl - Not sure I'm terrible at buying for little girls. I was too big of a tomboy.

All the classic toys are always a good idea for children in this age group! >>> play dough set, slinky, jump rope, ball, blocks, doll house, mr. potato head, etch a sketch, hoola hoop...etc...

What is she into? A type of plush interactive elmo toy would be good or maybe one only it could be a dora or a big bird? or a video tape or the wiggles. Use your imagenation.

Boy or girl?
My son loves cars, anything with wheels. He also loves girls! He is also big into video games and computer games. Just make sure they are age appropriate.

that's easy. If it's a boy, just get him a movie, some race cars, and/or an action figure. If it's a girl, just get her a movie and/or a barbie doll.
