Of course they are important, they are what attracts a couple in the first place, generally, BUT more importantly, they are not THE MOST important thing. Other things like how someone treats you and feels for you are more important. Inner beauty, for example is super important. nevertheless, if you aren't attracted to the person for outer or inner beauty, its not going to work. Much the same, if you are ONLY interested in a person's looks, its not going to work.

The question shoulnd't be are they important, it's how important are looks. They are but they fade you know. So people that base everything on that are not smart. Plus often times a personality will make someone look more appealing or un-attractive.

Attraction is important. That can be any number of things. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you're in a relationship with someone you need to be sexually attracted to them. That can also increase if you're attracted to who they are on the outside. Some people think they need to have someone good looking on their arm so others will notice. That's just superficial.

there needs to be some sort of attraction in a relationship. that doesn't necessarily mean that you need to be the hottest person out there, your personality can influence how attraction/appealing you come across to other people. Having a good heart and the way you treat people can have a much more lasting effect on people then looks do.

looks aren't important at all bc all of the good looking ppl are rude ppl and don't have a life so find some one with maybe a cute smile and knows how to treat you right

everything is important in combination, but I have seen some good looking men turn ugly when I learned more about there personalities, and i have seen some average Joe's turn into prince charming when they showed there true colors.

Looks are first impression. However, to a female, most prefer someone with a good personality. No crap. It works for me, and I'm not that good looking. If I can get them to laugh and joke on the first date, and still show good manners, hook, line, and sinker baby.
