a pitch shot is one that attacks the pin from the air - it's the toughest shot for amateurs to master - usually when everyone can take a full swing things are ok but when you have to take 3/4 or 1/2 swings is when it gets difficult - you need to go the range and find out how fay you ball CARRIES when you take a 1/2 swing, full swing, 3/4 swing - you just have to master your distances, it's nothing you can wing
