chipping is attacking the pin from the ground - depending on how far away from the green you are, you would usually use an 6 iron (20% air, 80% roll), a 8 iron (33% air, 67% roll), or a pitching wedge (50% air, 50% roll). I like to used the bump and run i have a 7 or 8 iron keep head down and and slowly go back about 3 feet and chip it It will take time have the ball in the middle of your stance make sure you follow through my wife like to stop and she dub it on your putting i train My student to put tees two feet from the hole than 4,6,8,10 keep doing it over and over,it take practice good luck
