I have two chihuahuas and two cats. I usually use Revolution on them. I changed vets and the new vet doesn't offer Revolution. He uses Frontline and HeartGuard. What do you use and why? Which is better? One cost more than other?

Revolution for dogs kills adult fleas and flea eggs, American Dog Tick, ear mites, sarcoptic mange, and heartworm.

Revolution for cats kills adult fleas and flea eggs, ear mites, roundworms, hookworms, and heartworm.

Frontline kills adult flea and flea eggs

Heartgard kills roundworms, hookworms and heartworm.

so essentially they are the same for cats, but dogs should probably get frontline and heartgard to protect against the intestinal parasites.

I use revolution, I find that it works better then frontline. My vet said that after time fleas become more resistive to products that are used frequently and suggested alienating between the three products you mentioned.I have only rotated form frontline to revolution, but my flea problems have stayed under control.

I use Revolution on the cats and Frontline on the dog. I do this because that's what my vet recommended.

I use Revolution. It is the only heartworm preventative for cats.

People will tell you horror stories about ordering things online, but I have been getting mine from http://www.petsuppliesnet.com for almost 3 years and have never had a problem. They also have the best price.

I use Frontline for fleas and Interceptor for heartworm. Interceptor is comparable in price to Heartgard, but it also helps prevent whipworms, which Heartgard doesn't.
