Did Jesus take away his disciples' free will to choose or reject his teachings by walking amongst them and letting them see him perform miracles? Then why would it take away our free will to choose now if he were to make himself known and offer absolute proof of his existence?

God doesn't take away anyone's free will. He gives commandments and let's people decide to follow them or not, and then they have to live with the consequences.

Good question. Adam and Eve had to first be taught before they could have any free will to exercise. Likewise, the desciples/apostles had to be taught before they could exercise their free will. When Adam and Eve were left alone in the garden, then they chose to partake of the fruit contrary to God's advice. Therein lies the transgression. The desciples likewise were left alone and had to then choose to follow the teachings they were given or go back to what they knew before finding Christ. We also choose between the things we know about. If Christ were here in front of us, we would still have to choose whether to follow Him or turn away from Him. It is not God's plan to force any of us to obey. We have to do that of our own free will. Satan on the other hand offered to save all of God's children with not a soul being lost. This would have eliminated our free will and was contrary to God's plan. For that reason, Satan was rejected and he became the devil whose purpose is to thwart God's plan any way he can. Satan still want to force us to follow him and not Christ. Any time you come across a plan that would take away your agency, your power to choose, you may know that it is not a good plan, not from God, but from Satan.

Free will is a gift from God, every angel as well as every human being has the free will to choose God or not.
We still have free will today, that is why Christ died for our sins, because God knew we would not always make the right choice.

Because our free will depended on whether Adam and Eve could follow the rules in the Garden of Eden. Because they chose the wrong path we (their children) have to suffer for their mistake. He's not going to force you to love him dude. You just got to love and know him on your own.

Great question, Dark Son/Sun (?)
Apparently, he did. But, I've found that 'true believers' will deny reality when it goes against their 'freedom' to believe the unproven...if it's a story told to them for a loooong time...
(Btw, I thought I already sold my soul to the Devil-who are you?)

No, of course not.

I think the universe is proof of God's existence, but hey, that's just me.
