the best thing to use is pool chlorine. You mix about half and half with water in a bucket and apply using a lambswool window washing tool on the end of a broomstick.Dip in the solution and squeeze out till damp.Wear rubber gloves. You can buy the lambswool from Bunnings or a cleaning supply store. Some people use a sponge mop but this is not so good. You do not need to rinse off the chlorine as it will continue to kill the mould for some time.Be careful though as it will bleach anything it comes in contact with.I do this for a job so thats how I know.

There is NOTHING in this world better at getting out mold than pure BLEACH. If you have a painted ceiling, you can just take a cloth that has bleach on it, rub it once against the mold...then stand back and watch it TOTALLY disappear. You may have to scrub JUST a little, but you will have no issues after that. Good luck.

You must have a leak in the walls. You should call a professional. But if you don't agree with me. You can take a mop
& use CLR to clean the surface. It will return sooner or later.
Mold can cause illness. Including brain damage. Call your local
health dept. if you don't believe me.

I use a bleach solution, equal parts water and bleach and spray it on, after an hour, I spray again, after another hour, I get up there and scrub. Usually comes clean.

Make sure that after you clean it with bleach you apply a coat of KILZ and then paint it again. This ensures that you will not have repeat problems.
