is it possible to have a seizure / spasm in sleep without the patient realising it himself?

as an epileptic i can say for sure the answer is yes evidence eventually shows up ( broken items ,bruises ect.)

Yes I think so, if you think this has happened to you I would suggest you go visit a doctor and get checked out.
Bed wetting suddenly is a good clue.........as this happens after a seizure, not in every case but most.
