I have always been called evil just bc of my religion to paganism. why????

People think that a pagan is EVIL there is no evil. Therefore cant people all get along

because paganism has corrupted what used to be a religion (Christianity)
if you research it you find how Constantine (a pagan roman emperor) has merged two religions (Christianity and paganism) to create one false.
do your own research from that information i have just given you and you will see why people don't like paganism
i personally don't really care, i don't have anything against them, and no I'm not a christian.

To the answeror stating that evil is any action not according to the will of God, you are mistaken. Evil translates to morally reprehensible. That is all that word means.
Why do people think Paganism is evil. Lets have a look at their source shall we:
exodus 22:18
Leviticus 19:26
Leviticus 20:6
there are 14 more points in the holy bible that state sorcerors and mediums should be put to death. Those are only the ones I have found so far. Seeing God wants sorcerors and mediums killed, and that pagans are considered sorcerors and mediums, its kind of understandable why people like ourselves are considered evil. I personally don't mind being morally reprehensable to believe what I do.

Because they are ignorant of what paganism is. They won't even take the time to find out the basic tenets of paganism which is a nature-based religion that follows the cycles of the earth and doesn't believe in Satan. It varies from there somewhat depending on if you're Wiccan, Celtic, etc. Don't worry about what other people tell you, be true to yourself. Paganism is an awesome belief system.

People don't like what they can't understand. They consider anything and everyone non-Christian to be evil.
Honestly, it shouldn't even matter what anyone else thinks of you because of your religion. But if they are threatening you with your life, your job, etc, that is a violation against freedom of religion. Alot of Pagans tend to keep it to themselves what their religion is, so most people on the street would never know what religion they were.

Why are you offended when you're called evil? As a pagan, it has no meaning to you, so what's the big deal?
Evil, by the way, is a state of not living in unity with the will of God. Therefore, as a pagan, you are evil, since you are not living in unity with the will of God.

For one, paganism is not a religion.. it's a definition for a theological status of believing in many, none, or a different version of what "God" is.
So, uh, people probably call you evil because they mean stupid - I mean, if you go around telling people your religion is paganism... maybe try studying a bit about religions, instead of taking it as a teenagers-angst against parents' revenege.

People fear different points of view because it means that they could be wrong. It's a very deep seeded misunderstanding of what Paganism is that fosters todays intolerance of it.
I'll tell you what Itold someone else....answer questions and denounse the myths and misunderstanding with patience and understanding.

because they do not understand the practice..or because they simply believe every non-christian is evil.. paganism in fact is a very empowering religion. it is all about positive energy, karma, and sending out into the world what you want to achevie.

they don't realize that their religion is based on many pagan beliefs.so alot of them think it is evil because there version doesn't allow them options
