Get to a Vet! My dog had this and it only got worse and he was very sick by the time I took him almost on death door! It was a Staphylococcal (aka styph) infections. It will reoccur and is rather common though dangerous. It's when the body's flesh starts to kill other cells. I don't know how he got it. But it is an infection that can be passed between humans and animal or from animal to human. You and anyone the dog comes in contact are at risk and can pick up the infection.

First off, call your vet. Your dog could have gotten into any number of things. The vet can advise you and offer treatment. My second suggestion is to make sure he has pleanty of water. If he was sick, he may be dehydrated.

a low dose of benadryl, or other antihystamine, wont hurt and can help if your dog got bit or stung by something. He could have had an allergic reation to your worming treatment. Take him to the vet.

Don't worry you're dog is fine and is on the road to recovery. Try approaching the situation with love and gentleness, instead of forcing it down their throat, otherwise it only demeans your character.
