War with Syria and Iran is inevitable.
The US has 150,000 soldiers in Iraq waiting for Israel's next orders. UN peacekeeping forces have come and gone.
In 1923, Turkey dropped Islam as state religion and the army must uphold secular Turkey from radical insurgency. Turkey has done quite nicely for itself.

It certainly does not appear as though anything has been resolved that would make anyone believe this is a lasting peace plan.
Personally, I am from the FDR and Douglas MacArthur school of capitulation, that is, "no cease fire without unconditional surrender." These maggots need to be smashed into oblivion, so they can't come back. Unfortunately for Israel, they will need to go through this all over again, once Syria and Iran replace all the dead Hezbollah, plus restore the munitions they will need, to go it again.

It will be difficult to keep the peace/cease fire, since all conditions are not agreeable. Hezbollah says NO! to disarming. Israel has not offered to return prisoners held since pull out of Lebanon, nor has Lebanon offered to return recently kidnapped soldiers. Of course water is no longer an issue since the system is destroyed, so there is no water for either. Maybe beween Arab states, where the Jew/ Americans were not involved, cease fire settlements were agreeable. Hezbollah is a wing of the political party, rather than an independent militant organization.

Has any of you ever listen to CSN on the Radio. It gives all the point of views. Russia and a few other countries wanted a cease fire so they could have time to prepare for a bigger war that they are going to start by Bomibg Isreal. Moreover Isreal didnt start the war, the other places started the war by bombing Isreal, but thet Press didnt tell you that.

Cease fires in the Middle East just means everyone has a chance to reload. BTW, did you hear that Hezbollah doesn't want the agreement to include allowing Lebanon to look for their hidden bunkers. Yeah, this cease fire is going to last. LOL

A cease fire is the first element in stopping a war.

I think so. I believe that's what Rice and Bush were talking about when they mentioned a lasting peace.
All the cease fire is doing is allowing Israel and Hezbollah time to regroup.

Cease fire just means "take a break and re-arm" to the terroists. They need to have their means to wage war eliminated -- extremely -- completely .

the war has been going on forever, the cease fire is just so the rest of us can get a breather before it starts up again.
