I'd have to agree with you! I didn't have even near the same peace within when I didn't know God. I'm sure my interpretation of God is somewhat different than yours, but nonetheless the peace is beyond normal material living when you have a good relationship with God. God bless...

I would be lost if I didn't have a relationship w/ him. Without Him, I am nothing, you know what I mean. Some people who don't believe in Him pretend that they don't feel a since of lost, but they are and until they get to know him and have a personal relationship with them, they will always be in dream land!!!! It's never to late to accept Him to have that peace in your life as well!

Great question.
I've been following Christ Jesus now for over 20 years. At this point in my life with Him, I appreciate more than ever the confidence that looking back upon my life and seeing His sustaining hand caring for me through all the hard bumps, consequences of my sin, weakness, pride and arrogance.
I'm more conscious than ever of the sin that still indwells me, how completely dependent I am upon Christ for any good thing, and how desperately I still need Him...now more than ever.
But what I think I appreciate most, or at least what is growing more and more, is the confident expectation that a day is coming when a promise will be fulfilled - that this difficult life will finally be over, my battle with sin and weakness finally won, and I will rest with Him. I'll be finally able to behold His face fully, I'll finally be able to worship Him without sin or weakness or distraction getting in the way, and the rest of my eternity will finally, once and for all, be complete.
Best to you.

I like that feeling of being so close that His will and mine are like flip sides of the same coin. I like when His Word comes to mind in every circumstance, especially while praying. I love watching His miracles happen.
Most of all, I love that first thing that attracted me to Him: His presence. In the face of that presence, leaving behind the old life is a beautiful thing done with relief and no condemnation, just out of love...

You stole my answer!! I read your question and before I even opened this page to see what your answer was, the first thing in my mind was a sense of inner peace. I think its just knowing that I don't have to worry about everything because I know that God's going to take care of me and provide for me. Knowing that I can just give him my burdens. I think that would be my answer, finally realizing that I don't have to do it all by myself.

I agree...peace. Peace knowing my prayers are answered. Peace knowing HE is with me, peace knowing he's already taken care of tomorrow. Peace knowing HE will take care of all my needs. Peace knowing I have eternal life with HIM. HOW can anyone who does not know Jesus say they have peace? How odd.

Funny, I have peace, but because I am not a Christian, you would tell me that I do not have a close relationship with your god. How odd.
