This is mainly for research purposes for my new novel. I've been in Phoenix in 1/05. No fast food restaurants. But good restaurants to serve great food in the Phoenix Metro area inc. Sedona, that might include lobster. Excellent opinions from tourists and Arizona residents will be great.

I know plenty some really good ones!!

Veneto Trattoria Italiana, an italian restaurant on the corner of Scottsdale Rd and McDonald Dr. Nice lunch and atmosphere, a lot of the servers have Spanish/Italian accent and are very nice too. Makes everything just perfect!

Also La Madeleine is always good. A French street food style restaurant.

Zinc Bistro by Kierland commons have excellent salad too^^

Pier D'Orleans is a good local seafood restaurant that has been around a long time.
San Diego Bay Restaurant is in Guadalupe, a very small suburb of Phoenix that is home to mostly Indians and Hispanics. The restaurant is a shining star in a very poor neighborhood.

Ed Debevicks - It's a retro 50's restaurant where the servers are paid to be rude! It's a LOT of fun!

Also, try Frank and Lupe's Old Mexico in Scottsdale. They have a restaurant here in New Mexico, and I love it. Try the sopapillas - not many people in Arizona even know what that is, but it's good!

Possibly the Salt Cellar. It is in Scottsdale. I wouldn't include Sedona in the Phoenix metro area. It really is too far away for a dinner out.

edit: Sorry, just realized it is not open for lunch.

Hmmm, I've spent some time there. I'd say Oregano's in Scottsdale. Cheap, but not fast food. And trendy, at least the last time I was there!
