I think it depends on the person's maturity. For most people, I think between age 14 and 16 is a good time to start dating in groups. I think single dating should wait until between the ages of 16 and 18.

The best time is after 18, but nobody wants to wait that long. Maybe around 15-16 is OK, but it should only be to meet people and under no way be for sex. The best thing anyone can do is wait until 28 years old to get married and settle down. This gives you time to travel and see the world a little bit. You need to experience many things and people before you make any commitments. Getting to serious at a young age is just a waste of time and energy. Most girls cannot even remember the person they were first going to marry and spend the rest of the life with. It was all just hormones back then. Wait until you FEEl it is time, not just to impress others. You must love yourself first. Good luck to ya!!! Gary

Honestly, it depends on the person and their stage of maturity in life and interpersonal relationships. I was gung-ho about dating very early on, and had many a crush, although I never seriously dated until I was 19. However, although a few of my strongest crushes were certainly perceived as love at the time (and certainly could have been a lesser form of love) I never actually came to truly love until I had been dating my girlfriend for 6 months. So, again, it depends on the person, but remember that the relationship you share with someone in 6th grade will be different (although not entirely inferior) to the relationship you will share with someone as a young adult.

I think it's takes a while to truly know what love is....there are some people out there who are over 30 and still don't know the true meaning of love. Back to the question. People are starting to date younger and younger. So is there a correct age? Who knows. However, something to think about: the more you date, the more baggage you'll have later on.

the right age is when you are mentally prepared when you know how to deal with situations don't just date cause it is fun cause there's more to dating then just kissing and feeling on each other
