My boyfriend is taking it, he says it makes him feel nausious, it makes you not want to eat, that is all, it does not burn fat, it only keeps you from being hungry, so, yes, it works to the extent that you dont feel hungry. Try a fruit and veggie detox for 5 days, eat veggies on one day only and then fruit only, i lost 5 pounds this week so far and i am still going, also drink lots of water and drink teas of your choice. Good luck.

**** VERY IMPORTANT NOT TO GET RIPPED OFF ---

#1. Be sure you are buying pure Hoodia...look for the import certificate on the website. No matter the price, if they do not display this, you really do NOT know what you are getting!

#2. Be sure it is 100% Hoodia & not mixed w/other herbs, etc.!!

#3. Keep in mind it stops your hunger pangs…you MUST remember to break your habit to always eat at certain times.

#4. Drink a full 8oz. glass of water with it!

Hoodia (HOOD-ee-uh) gordonii - A genus of 10 to 20 species from southwestern Africa.
Hoodia gordonii is the stoneage wonder plant found throughout the dry arid regions of the South western African continent now on the verge of making history in the fight against obesity. It is a genus belonging to the Asclepiadaceae family which consists of approximately 20 species. Used to stop hunger, quench thirst, and provide energy among other things since prehistoric times, Hoodia gordonii was first discovered by the San tribesmen and women to get through the most difficult of times.

Hoodia is very effective for the Africans because they are not used to consuming an incredible amount of food in the first place. All it is is a natural appetite suppressant derived from a cactus that they use over there when making a journey to suffice for the lack of food. I really believe that this will have no where near the effect it has on those guys on us because we as Americans are used to consuming much, much more food than your average African. The only ones that hoodia will more than likely work on are those who already have a small appetite, not those who have a hershey's syrup blood type.

Supposedly, but I saw on TV that most products that claim to have hoodia really don't. Or they have so little hoodia in them that it doesn't do any good. So if you try it, make sure you have a standardized extract guaranteed to contain a certain amount of the active principle of hoodia. I don't know if the whole plant works the same way--with some plants, one part might be poisonous, while one part is active, and one part is inert. It's a little crazy sometimes. So make sure you get what you think you're paying for.

IT may work for some people..but for me it definitely does not!..I feel nothing. It is supposed to trick your brain into thinking you are full and not hungry. I would say the supplement company made a quick $40. bucks off me.....Live and Learn
