drink a LOT of water throughout the day... and start an exercise program... it will impact your decision making b/c you won't want to see your efforts going to waste...
Also make a habit, regardless of anything else, to eat 4-5 pieces of fruit in a day. In order to fit them in, you'll surprise yourself by not grabbing something stupid and instead eating a pear...
Also, cut any refined sugar possible. First places you can do that are coffee and cereal... it makes a big difference...

make it like a game...tell yourself that you're going to eat well (i.e. no fast food or look at the menus and nutritional information of the places you like to go and pick items that are healthier and limit yourself to those items) for say 30 days. If there are folks around you that you think would support you or even do the "challenge" with you enlist their help. You might find that you'll feel alot better after having made healthier eating choices (and probably dropped a pound or two in the mean time) and will be more motivated to keep it up. If you end up caving, don't quit, just start over. It's all about self mastery, ultimately- and even though failure might make you feel like quitting all together try to remember that a little bit of progress at a time is alot better than none at all.
p.s. knowledge really is power- if you make it a habit to look up the nutritional information of the places you like to eat out at, figuring out what items are intune with you nutritional goals ahead of time, you can eat out, have fun and not feel bad all at the same time. eventually it will all be in your head.

Just remind yourself what you want to look like and what you will look like if you keep on eating greasy foods! Always choose water over sugary drinks and staff away from fried foods like fries and burgers. Go for the healthier foods like salad and low calorie things. Also eat smaller portions more times a day than 3 huge meals! Hope this helps!

Practice, practice, practice. Don't give up on yourself. Start each day fresh, and don't let the mistakes of the previous day affect today. Education is the best, read as much as you can. Don't try to do all these fad diets, just learn about he foods and how to eat them properly.

Best suggestion I can make to you is to go to a nutritionist. That person can explain to you what foods to eat, portion size and help you make good food choices. That is what I did and it not only helped my lose 90 pounds, but I feel better and have more energy.

Don't try cold turkey.. give yourself some junk food every now and then... do it very slowly, long established habits take a long time to break.

Watch the carbs. They make you hungry. If you drink diet cola, stop, cuz the aspartame makes you crave carbs.
