Clyde S brings up a good point. If you had the power, would you drill anywhere there was oil? We are running out right now and there's gotta be alot more around the world. The only thing is, that we can't drill there cause it would be dangerous to the environment. Why don't we just do it. We need the oil at least until we find an alternative. But even then, that's gonna take a while.

99 pence per litre. That makes nearly $8 a gallon. London UK.
The only rational way to get prices lower is to encourage economy. Insulation of homes and more economical cars on the road.

2.87 2.97 it depends on which vehicle I am driving. And it is too damned much. I spend most of time driving or at this desk. I hate spend a large chunk of money on gas. If Texas wasn't so damn hot, I would ride a motorcycle. Only thing is, I think it is actually cooler in Hell than it is in Texas. I might have to move back home to Louisiana. Its hot there but at least you can sweat. And the gas is cheaper too. It was 2.56 for premium.

$2.74 To lower the prices, I would drill in Alaska, off the coasts and develop alternate, economical forms of energy. Also, I might buy a motorcycle.

I paid $2.90 yesterday. To lower the price of oil I'd start shooting hippies and drill everywhere there was oil.

$2.89 TN
It will only come down if consumers stop all but the necessary travel. Combine errands into one trip ie: groceries, prescriptions, fill up, on way home from work. Car pool or use public transportation.

It is 289 here but I ride a bike so it really doesnt matter too much. I only have to buy gas for my mower. I only drive when I leave town and that is not too often.
