Hey Spiffy,
it's a specific denomination that has allowed this- and it is unbiblical and terribly stumbling to those who are sincerely trying to learn what real Christianity is about.
It's hypocrisy at its worse- and it's sad that it's such a compromise for the sake of tolerance.
i'm not sure other than to say i would consider that congregation a non-Bible believing body...

The whore of Babylon is the goddess of mercantilism, and people worship her by throwing God's money and time at her. The church's part is that the liberal wing of the body of Christ plays to money and mega church buildings and spectacular events. We are in the last times---the great tribulation is not far away. Jesus is coming to take his true church away. there are going to literally be millions upon millions of people that are going to be shocked and amazed that Jesus passed them by on that great and terrible day of the Lord---the rapture of the church. the time is now to prepare for our Lord's return, for you know not at what hour that he shall come. Only the Father knows and he is not telling anyone. We know that our Lord's arrival is soon by the signs that are appearing on the earth now, for they are listed in the Bible. Jesus loves you.

take a deep breath..
in corinthians there were alot of problems... and it was a real church... real churches arent necessarily perfect
however if you mean TEC the episcopal church, there was a pretty scary article in World.... they not only did what you said.. they are rather shoickingly are also removing references to repenting and on a witch hunt for conservatives who stand up against them... personally I would just leave
freudian slip? you avoid repenting when your doing sometime you shoudnt?

The church has the right to interpret the bible as it wishes since the bible is the contradictory work of men, not of any mythical god.

You should avoid these churches because how can you preach and teach others about the bible when you don't follow it's instruction yourself

I don't believe homosexuality is a sin, but then again I'm not a christian, so I'm probably not the audience you're looking for anyway.
